On this date in 1814, Francis Scott Key wrote the Start Spangled Banner, a song that has led directly to the outbreak of every American sporting event ever held.
Key wrote the now famous anthem in the aftermath of the Battle of Fort McHenry. Upon hearing the verse, combatants on both sides (who were still wasted from tailgating all morning) began cheering wildly even before Key had a chance to finish.
As the song ended, British and American troops laid down their arms and resolved to play a game of football. Hostilities were renewed however, when the two sides could not come to an agreement as to what “football” meant.
Great , now I know that Francis Scott Key is the first one who invent " Sports ". He is the first one played and invent the sport football. Keep posting !
